   Its time everyone puts and end to all of the nay saying about Mr. Obama.   Let's face it, you're all just jealous that you can't play a pick up game of basketball with the Jonas brothers.    But let's face it, they're like three tiny clones of Bob Dylan, (with the obvious lack of talent of course) so how good was the game really?

Tangerine Legend

  After a conversation with seester, I was left longing for Ridley Scott's masterpiece Legend.  This is my favorite movie.  All it takes is just the first 4 notes of the intro to give me chills.  This is in part because it is the first movie I really remember watching.  I remember always being so sad at the end.  The song " Loved by the Sun" kicks on  there's the beautiful forest with the unicorns galloping, bits of fluff floating in the breeze, the ethereal light, and of course all of our new friends waving goodbye.  It still breaks my heart and I just want to start the movie over so we can do it again. The movie is of course beyond words fantastic.  It wasn't until five minutes ago ( yes I'm always up til 5 am or later) that I realized that the soundtrack is in fact perfect.  Perfect.  Forget its a soundtrack and just listen to the music , which you can do on youtube sans movie.

copy and paste into your browser and listen.  Tangerine Dream composed the soundtrack.   I had never heard anything else they had done besides the Legend soundtrack.  I spent all night listening to their other work.  I'm blown away.  No really.   I'm really speechless.   Why weren't they superstars?!   So next time youve got nothing better to do  youtube some Tangerine Dream.  Di you do it?  Oh man!  Don't worry those goosebumps will go away in about 20 minutes.  Word.

Teh Bean Breakthrough

3:43 PM .   I'm sitting. Not necessarily relaxing you see.  I have fallen prey to thinking.  Ah, but what am I thinking?   Is it possible to think absently ?  Almost as if my thoughts were covered by large multi-colored parachute like tarps. Like the ones covering the ever lasting gobstopper machine in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.  I know its working, I just can't see specifically what is working.              There are things I should most definitely be thinking about or of.   I  want to be doing so much  more.   Like learning the noble skills of the amateur magician.  Speed walking to the mailbox while the mail man is stretching out his letter laden hands, only to stop halfway leaving him frustrated. So I decided to do some research on a subject that has plagued me for years, but more recently this week.     I had a breakthrough. Please excuse the spelling.  At the beginning of any Mr. Bean episode, Bean falls from a pillar of light onto the street.  When this happens a choir begins to sing.  I've  always wanted to know what they were singing, it's in Latin I think.  I finally found it out and I laughed sooooo hard when I did.    " Ecce homo vie es faba."  Which means!  "Behold the man who is a bean."

When selecting a font for this post, among the many choices I noticed the word font .  I was bitterly disappointed that selecting it meant nothing.  What would Font look like?  Surely it's appearance would supersede the rest!  a font for the ages : Font.  Sounds a bit like a Lifetime movie, starring Meredith Baxter Berney.            I think if I were a font I'd be Sandalwood.  Earthy, and yet removed from simplicity but still "homey" in a soft and supple way.  Yes, thats really what I think when I  or smell Sandalwood....which also happens to be a font, a paint, a texture, a location, and a drink.
